Launch time is near, take a guess!
I'm 36 weeks pregnant today. It's kinda freaking me out that we'll have a new baby in our house in less than 4 weeks! We have had an exciting January including a HUGE family reunion in Orlando, Florida (more on that later). For the first time ever I went into the hospital with contractions and left the hospital still pregnant. The doctor stopped my contractions because it was still too soon for this guy to come out. I was on bedrest for the rest of the work week to make sure things didn't progress. Having had that happen it made me realize how much I need to get done at home and work that I don't know if I had been blind to before or just avoiding. We don't even have a place for our baby to sleep! My doctor guessed around Feb. 10 for delivery day so I really hope I can accomplish everything by then. Feb. 10 is also my last day of work because I was thinking I would deliver around Feb. 16 and figured one week of down time would be enough. Now I don't know if I'm going to have any down time?? Of course these are all just guesses and I could go all the way to March since my acutal due date is Feb. 25 and my doctor won't induce until I'm a week over. So...what's your guess for Thing 4's arrival?

...and a Happy New Year!
The computer has not been my friend lately, but I figured I should try and post once during the first month of the new year.
Our Christmas was wonderful and low key. My parents drove up from OC to be with us. It was nice having their extra hands for all the gift wrapping. We had our traditional all appetizer Christmas Eve dinner. The kids also acted out the nativity scene. Noah opted out.

Christmas morning started out great because we were not awakened while it was still dark out. The kids slept in until 8:15! I guess everyone was good because Santa definitely stopped here. There were more presents than sitting room. Mia got her fashion design kit, Kai got the McDonalds kitchen, and Noah got the hit toy of Christmas, a Buzz Lightyear rocket car.

There was also an awesome silly string fight. Who do you think the master of the silly string was? Mia...no she ran off laughing. Kai...no he ran off crying. Papa Jeff...close. NOAH! Noah was brutal with that can of string.

Another great Christmas gift was getting a piano from my grandmother. It actually could have been an Easter gift, but we finally had enough people together at the same time to be able to move it from Hayward to San Mateo, thanks guys!

Christmas dinner was at our house and both grandparents were with us, we love how well our families get along.
Whitney and Adam spent their Christmas in Santa Cruz, but saved a day to be with us. In addition to helping get the piano here, we all went on hike and played some freeze tag.

We had a very happy Christmas and knew it wouldn't be long until we saw our out of town family again because of our upcoming Florida family reunion!
New Years we made it a hop, skip and a jump over to Sacramento so we could party it up with some cousins. There's even a girl cousin for Mia which is something of a rarity for her. In our less than 24 hours there we were able to bbq, meet a new cousin, make cupcakes, make confetti, ring in 2011, catch some zzz's, watch a lot of America's Funniest Home Videos and play a lot of legos. Thanks Culmer's for a fun New Year's.
