Do you know me?

If you really knew me, you'd know that...

*I love shopping on EBAY.

*I have chocolate milk for breakfast EVERY morning.

*It's hard for me to leave things unfinished.

*I would totally get a boob job if we could afford it.

*I am a pessimist (guilty, until proven innocent)

*I love staying at home with my kids and the thought of going back to work KILLLLLLLLLLLLS me, but Aaron can't keep working two jobs forever :(

*I love reality TV, Survivor: ANTM, Top Chef, Project runway, house flipping shows, and recently Biggest Loser

*I'm dreading Noah's 1st birthday. It's wonderful yet terrible knowing he's our last and we're leaving babyhood behind.

*I have a hard time falling asleep at night.

*I love sarcastic, cocky humor (Vince Vaughn, Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Goldblum are the best!)

*I am horrible at filing and have paper piles all over my house.

*I spoil Mia.

*I'm excited to get to 30, I just want to skip 29 and get to 30 and get it over with.

*I'm terrible at using leftovers and throw away a lot of food.

*My dream job (outside the home) is to be a labor & delivery nurse, but I don't know if I'll ever get there.

*I love having people over even though it stresses me out before hand.

*I'm dessert obsessed. I have dessert every night, and even need a treat after lunches.

*I collect state quarters.

How many did you know??

I don't want a snotty, drooler!

Oh, how I love my daughter! We've been having a very good week together. She has no school on Monday, so we are going to have a group playdate at our house with some of her classmates. She was telling me how after her friends got there she was going to close her door. I explained to her that it's Kai's room also now and she's not going to close the door on him. I used the classic "how would you feel if he had friends over and closed the door on you?" Her response was "But mom, I don't want a snotty, drooler in with my friends!" I wanted to laugh, but I looked over at my sweet, yet runny nosed, little boy who was watching us have this conversation and just gave Mia a big hug and told her I knew what a nice big sister she was and she wouldn't like to make Kai sad. She agreed, but had to end with "yah, but he does have a snotty nose..." OH, THAT GIRL!

This girl should come with a warning label "Caution, drama ahead"

More wedding photos

These are a few more photos from Whitney's wedding. These were taken by the photographer and I think she did a nice job. You can tell how happy Whitney was that day.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Wow I can't believe tomorrow will already be the 12th day of January! Noah's 1st birthday is in 3 weeks! So much has happened since Christmas, I feel like I've been sitting on the fast forward button. We had a great New years in southern CA with my family. So much yummy food and fun games (and I'm not big on board games). My favorite was Imaginiff, a really fun, easy game. About 15 minutes before the ball dropped we turned on Dick Clark's New Years celebration and it was sad to see him so differently since his stroke. I'm glad he felt well enough to be there for the 100 year anniversary, but I think it's time for him to pass the torch.

New Year's day our little cousin Gavin arrived with his parents. We had so much fun playing and getting to know him better. He is such a sweet little guy and we always enjoy our time with Uncle Ryan and Auntie Maria.

Then the reason we were all together to begin with...Whitney's wedding to Adam. We were so worried about the weather, rain and wind in particular. And while it rained in the early morning we didn't see any rain or wind at all during the day. Everything was perfect. Whitney looked beautiful and happy and all the hard work put into her day showed. The only little mishap was a groomsman fainting during the ceremony! Luckily he was okay and just sat down in the audience and the ceremony continued. He felt so bad, he was apologizing all day long to Adam and Whit. I had to give a toast and it was nerve wracking, but went pretty well. I left out a couple things I wanted to say, but I refused to write anything down. Hey, I just realized as I'm writing this that I didn't get any cake! Dang it, how can you go to your sister's wedding and not have cake? It was such a pretty cake too. Oh well, it was a great wedding and they're off to Hawaii next week for their honeymoon. Congrats to Adam and Whitney!

It was hard going back to reality after having two weeks off, and cramming so much into those 14 days. I'm already looking forward to Spring Break! I'm glad it early this year :) For now Happy New Year!
