Underwater camera

I don't have a waterproof case for our camera so we just bought a disposable underwater camera when we were in Hawaii (almost 2 months ago now). I finally remembered to take it in to be developed and out of 27 exposures I would say about 10 or 11 came out print worthy. The beach doesn't look that beautiful, but it was the best snorkeling spot I've ever been to without needing a charter boat. Anyway, here are the best of them.

Our not so little girl.

Well since I didn't post a Birthday shout out to our one and only daughter on her actual birthday (4/12), I'll give her a shout out on her original due date. She's seven now and growing up so fast it hardly seems fair. Mia you have such a good heart. You are a wonderful helper to your parents, and your brothers look up to you so much. You're funny, bright, athletic, independent and make friends so easily. We love having you in our family and couldn't live with out you!

Spotlight

So Kai was the "spotlight" child today in our church's primary (kids sunday school). They read a little blurb about the child and all the other kids have to guess who it is. After they guess, the spotlight child gets to pick a song to sing. The time had come for Kai to pick and he said he wanted to sing "I don't wanna work, I wanna bang on the drum all day". I thought it was a pretty good choice, but seeing as how the pianist didn't have that particular song in her music folder, Kai had to go with his 2nd choice...Sunbeam. Rock on little man!

And my camera's batteries are dead, I have not a single AA battery in the house so I can't upload our recent trip photos yet.

So...

I'm reading my books at the same time. I read the Shopaholic series during the day and War and Peace before I go to bed. So far, so good.

1000 page dilema

How am I supposed to get through the next 1000 pages of this:

When I have this waiting for me:

Do you know what it's like going from "fluff" novels

to a hard core literature classic? It is so hard for me to not pick up the Shopaholic series while I'm only a quarter of the way through War and Peace. I never should have started the fluff! I should have gotten through the serious novels first, then saved ALL the fluff for after. I still have 1000+ pages to go. I'm not used to that. I'm used to whipping through books, and the 400 pages I have read has taken me 2 weeks! Since War and Peace is so complex(for me) I can't just set it down and read my other series and then go back to it, I'll have to start all over! Don't get me wrong, I've always wanted to read War and Peace since I never did in HS or college, and I'm enjoying the characters and the different plots, but I don't know if I have the will power to hold on for 1100 more pages before getting back to the fluff. At the rate I'm going I won't be done for 5-6 weeks, I've never taken that long to finish a book on my own. I'll let you know how it goes...
