Really?!

I just planned my December and January calendars! I can't believe we've been in school for 3 months already. Is there another metaphor besides "time flies" something that implies time goes even faster than flying?

Season's over

Mia had a great soccer season. Her team had so much fun and became good friends in the process. She told her coach she'll always be a kickin pixie in her heart. I'd never seen a group of little girls so disappointed after their last game. They really love each other. What an awesome bunch of girls!

So...

The post about upping it to 4 kids, I'm good and done. It really wasn't like I felt conflicted about having another baby. I feel conflicted about telling Aaron we're done, when he doesn't want to be done. I was conflicted on whether or not it was within my power to take that option off the table, ya know? Granted, I'm the one who has to carry the baby for 9 months and then take care of everything after they arrive, but it is his family too. He should have some say and I feel guilty just shooting him down. He is easing up on the idea so hopefully I don't have to feel like the bad guy forever. I love the way "Shong, party of 5" sounds."

Of all the days!!

We recently have become big fans of the Stanford women's soccer team. Aaron's always been interested in taking Mia to Stanford games of any womens sport, but Mia didn't show interest herself until now. We've taken her to two of the home games this season and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Mia's playing soccer coupled with the fact that the Stanford womens team totally rocks makes it all very fun. We got to see the last game of the regular season where Stanford closed out their season undefeated 20-0 and No. 1 in the nation. Plus after the games the team comes out and slap fives with all the fans and sign team posters. I think it's great for Mia to see such strong women athletes plus she knows that they're going to college at the same time.
ANYWAY...Stanford is in the play offs plus their stadium has been selected for games until the semi finals. We were so looking forward to catching a game or two if they continue their winning streak. We were looking at the brackets and saw that BYU was set to play at Stanford and if the seeds held up Stanford would play them in the second game. We KNEW we wanted to go to that game! However it's this Saturday, the day of Mia's last soccer game this season plus her team party is immediately after her game which means we will miss the Stanford/BYU match. Bummer! Of course we'll be rooting for STANFORD!!! And don't worry cougars, the Stanford girls are too good to need to take anyone down by the pony tail!

*Woot! Woot! Stanford sent BYU packing 2-0.

Congratulations!

I can't believe it's taken me this long, but we just want to say congrats to auntie Sarah and soon to be uncle Angelo. They are tying the knot Thanksgiving weekend and we can't wait to celebrate in SoCal with them.

LOVE MY SISTERS

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear Maria, Happy Birthday to you

My sister in law celebrated her birthday 11/5 and we just wanted you to know how much we love and miss you Maria! Life would be so good if we lived close, we would have cousin play dates, could walk into our houses without knocking and always understand when the house is a complete mess! Are you on your way yet?

And the sisterly love doesn't stop there...

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday dear Whitney, Happy Birthday to you

My sister is celebrating her birthday tomorrow 11/8 and she has been so wonderful to acknowledge each of her family's birthdays we had to be sure she got some recognition on her special day. She is my best friend and has a great listening ear I couldn't live without. We love you Whitney, see you soon!

Here we are...

In case you don't recognize us, we're from Harry Potter. The kids are the main group of friends, Noah's Harry Potter, Kai's Ron Weasley and Mia's Hermione Granger. Aaron and I are professors from the wizard school. He's Prof. Snape the mean teacher who is good in the end. And I'm Prof. Trelawney the harmless, airheady fortune telling teacher. Hope you had a Happy Halloween, can't believe Thanksgiving is in 4 weeks!
