MIA
If you read an earlier post you will know I cave to Mia's requests. Well she was feeling like a makeover and a photo shoot, so we did her make up and she pranced around the house and I took a couple of pictures. I wanted to prove to her that she is beautiful without make up so the next day I had her go outside for some more pictures sans makeup and even though she had fun putting the make up on, she does like the non-makeup Mia better (and so do we)! Mia has also started her T-Ball league and it is intense(for the parents anyway). AYSO is nothing compared to this. Everyone is very involved, every parent has to volunteer or pay the league $50 to opt out. They have fund raisers, they keep score and team standings. They even put their names on the backs of their jerseys. Her coach is really nice though, and makes it a lot of fun for the girls. Her team name is the *Butterflies*. It should be a fun or should I say funny season, especially since Mia can't catch a ball to save her life!
And of course there's nothing like a true personality shot...our wild child
KAI
Oh boy, what can I say? We're taking on the big job of potty training. I KNEW this was going to be difficult with him. He is really mellow and easy going and also L-A-Z-Y. So at the beginning of February when I introduced the potty it was a big negative. I went and bought a little trainer potty which he'd at least sit on. I let him pick out his own underoos (he chose Diego). When I put the underwear on him he says "I don't like it, I wanna diaper." WHAAAT? If he is that aware of the difference then he definitely can grasp toilet training, he just wants to leave his lazy buns in a diaper. I left him alone for a couple weeks, but have since decided to just jump in and have him start wearing the underwear all day. As of 11am this morning he was on his 3rd pair of underwear. He has peed on me once while he was sitting in my lap watching cartoons. Then I decided to just forget the underwear and let him run around bare bottom, I thought I had him then. NO, he got me instead. He decided to just relieve himself on the carpet, so I had some scrubbing to do. I have been taking him to the potty every 15-20 minutes but he hasn't done squat. I guess I need to make it every 10 minutes. I know he can do it, he just really is all about convenience and the diaper is way more convenient for him. He couldn't care less about being a big kid like his sister a diaper suits him just fine. Now that it's one o'clock, he has wet another pair of underwear and is running around bare bottom again because I'm out of underoos. Wish me luck this is going to be a long road! Just look at our lounger! He slept in yesterday 'til 9:45!!!!!
NOAH
Our poor little guy looks absolutely hideous. In fact he looked so bad all weekend, I wouldn't take him out in public to avoid the stares. He started on Saturday with this rash on his face and a couple splotches on his tummy, not too bad. Well then Sunday morning he woke up and was covered head to toe. He looked like he should be in quarantine. I took him to the dr. and she believes it is a bad reaction to amoxicillan that he had for an ear infection. In my online research I saw it could also be a virus called slapped cheek or 5ths disease. Neither is particularly harmful to him and he just has to ride it out. The pictures I got of him really don't relay how bad he looked, even if you click on them for the bigger size it's still not as bad as he looked in person, the dr. let out a "wow" when I unzipped his sleeper.
Poor guy, other than the spots he has no other symptoms, no fever, no fussiness, just his usual happy self. The spots bother me and Aaron more than Noah.
