Cinco

Dear Kai,
It has been 5 years since you entered our lives. What you bring to our family is glue. You are the glue that keeps everyone together. When someone is sad or hurt you are by their side to be their number one comforter. When someone is mad at you or mean you don't understand because all you feel is love. You are inherently kind and generous. The phrases "he wouldn't harm a fly" and "he'd give the shirt off his back" embody your spirit, we hope that never changes. Your 5 year old body has put up with a lot and you always handle it like a champ. We know the challenges that are set before you are meant for you because you handle them better than either of your siblings would. These challenges have lead your parents to believe it will benefit you to wait an extra year before you start "real" school. It was a hard decision for us, and we hope you agree with it and feel the benefits of it 13 years from now. People say we do a good job with you, but honestly we don't feel like we've done anything at all. You've done a good job with us. You've taught us so much about love and patience and kindness. Thank you for coming to our family.
We love you so much,
mom & dad
