Silly kids
Anybody with three kids knows how hard it is to get a picture of all three kids looking at the camera and if they just happen to be smiling as well then you're in parent picture taking heaven! Recently the photo gods have been smiling on me because I've gotten a couple of good pics of the kids together, nothing professional, just fun, laid back photos. Gotta love these kids.

Success!
I feel like I can safely say that Noah's transfer from a crib to a big boy bed has been a complete success. I wanted to wait before saying it out loud in case there were any regressions, but he's been in his new bed for a month now and it's gone off without a hitch. We came home from our beach camping trip and pulled out the trundle from Kai's bed our first night home and he laid down like there was no difference whatsoever. So we began to take the crib down and in the process it just splintered apart as if it had had it with us! I told Aaron (who would love to add one more to the family) it was a sign that #4 was out of the question. It's bittersweet watching your "baby" grow up, you want them to stay small forever, but it's thrilling to see them become more independent. One thing I surely will not miss is...diapers. Next up, potty training. FUN!

Great NY Times article on marriage troubles
Not that I'm enduring any marital strife, but I really liked this article.

Fun in the sun
We just got back from vacationing at Don Pedro Lake and ended up having a great time. I say "ended up" because before we left the trip was completely cursed and still after one day of vacation we seemed cursed. However, the curse did lift on the second day and we had a great time. Highlights of the trip:
*The boat was up and running.

*Getting Mia up on skiis for the first time!!!!!!!

*Aaron and I still being able to get up on a ski after 2 years without being in a lake.

Getting Kai (our homebody boy) out of his comfort zone, and into the tube where he and his sister laughed their heads off :)

*Visiting the quaint, historical town of Jamestown.

*An awesome swimming lagoon, that was much less intimidating than a big lake, but just as much fun for the kids.

All in all, we feel pretty lucky to be able to have a vacation like this and even with the rocky start the next five days were all worth it.

Romeo, Romeo where for art thou Romeo...
Mia LOVES the song "Love Story" by Taylor Swift. You won't be seeing her on America's Got Talent any time soon, but it's still pretty cute.

Happy Birthday to our Middle Man!
ZERO:

ONE:

TWO:

THREE:

FOUR:

July 14, Kai Samuel came into our lives 2 minutes after midnight. He's four and so much fun. We dedicate this oldie, but goodie to you Kai. We love you!
"You got a smile so bright
You know you could have been a candle
I`m holding you so tight
You know you could have been a handle
The way you swept me off my feet
You know you could`ve been a broom
And babe you smell so sweet
You know you could`ve been some perfume
(Chorus)
Well you could of been anything that you wanted to
I can tell
The way you do the things you do.
As pretty as you are
You know you could`ve been a flower
If good looks were minutes
You know you could have been an hour
The way you stole my heart
You know you could have been a crook
And baby your so smart
You know you could have been a school book
Well you could of been anything that you wanted to
I can tell
The way you do the things you do.
You make my life so rich
You know you could`ve been some money
And baby you`re so sweet
You know you could have been some honey
Well you could of been anything that you wanted to
I can tell
The way you do the things you do."
